A great way to enhance any meal, especially a nice steak, is with wine. So if you're looking for something that won't break the bank but still has high scores on the tasting scale, here are a few of Steak Troy's recommendations. All for under $20.

D' Arenberg Footbolt Shiraz
  $17, Australia
This wine is absolutely delicious, complementing anything that you eat, but particularly a big juicy rib eye sprinkled generously with Steak Troy seasoning. Good, rich, hearty flavors yet goes down smoothly. Works best if you can decanter - or if not simply pull the cork out an hour before drinking. I hope you enjoy this red as much as I do.

Can you learn anything about a wine from the cork?

In fact, the only thing that can come from sniffing a wine cork is smudging your nose. Please don't be a cork sniffer. It's just a small piece of wood people. The only way to discover the quality of a wine is by tasting it.
