There are many ways to make a meal better, but one easy way is the side dishes. I have added a few I found and will change them from time to time. If you have a dish that everyone asks you to make, please email me and I will give it a shot. Maybe I can add it to this list.

Marinade
I have had all kinds of marinade, from Italian dressing to soy sauce mixtures. I would challenge everyone to use mixture of their favorite sauces to come up with a favorable mixture. My spice is meant to be used as a salt like addition while grilling. I personally recommend the Allegro brand from the supermarket and I like the spicy one.

Grilled Asparagus
Simple skewer asparagus with a wooden kabob stick purchased at your local grocery store. Coat with olive oil, then salt and fresh cracked pepper (table pepper will work). Place on a medium hot grill for 10 minutes a side. The asparagus should be semi limp when you take off.

Cornflake Potatoes
Mix 2 lbs of frozen hash-brown potatoes, 12 oz shredded cheddar cheese, ½ cup minced onion, 2 cans cream of chicken soup, 1 pint sour cream, 1/2ts pepper and salt to taste together in a large mixing bowl. Mix completely and put into a greased cooking dish. Cook for 1 hour.

On the side mix 2 cups of crushed regular cornflakes and a ¼ cup of melted margarine.

Pull the potatoes out and cover with the cornflake mixture completely. Cook for 30 minutes at the same temperature or when the mixture turns a golden brown. Pull and let sit for an additional 15 to 20 minutes.
